calculatorsThe question we are asked the most is
what size of GSM gateway do I need ?, the first factor to be
asked of the customer is how many simultaneous calls do they
need to mobiles, this can differ from customer to customer as
some businesses will mainly make calls to mobiles as their
customer base may be like this or if a company has a lot of
mobile users such as service engineers or field based sales
people then this has to be taken into account. You will also
need to take into account if SMS messages are going to be sent and
received.
We can offer some basic guidance, if the only criteria you
have is the number of mobile minutes used per month then
select from the following chart:
|
| |
|
Minutes per Month |
Channels required |
|
2000 to 4000 |
2 |
|
4000 to 6000 |

30000 to 45000 |
14 |

| The chart is intended to be a broad guide and not a
definitive design tool - in a practical environment it is
always better to use the data available from Network providers
and call logging tools. |
